    Outbound money transfer service and 8 incoming international currency transfer services, including US dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Pound Sterling (GBP), Swiss Franc (CHF), Danish Krone (DKK), Norwegian Krone (NOK), Swedish Krona (SEK), Australian Dollar (AUD), Japanese Yen (JPY), and Singapore Dollar (SGD).

    Foreign money transfer advice (Advice on Foreign Remittance to Government Savings Bank, Thailand)
    Money can be transferred from abroad to the recipient's account at a branch of the Government Savings Bank. Transfers can be made to every GSB branch in Thailand from banks around the world that provide international money transfer services. Be sure to notify the source bank not to convert the value into Baht, but to transfer the money in any of the 8 currencies that the GSB accepts

    When making the principal transfer order please inform the foreign banks that they can deposit the foreign remittance into the beneficiary's account at any GSB branch.

    2.2 Outward Remittance Service
    Service characteristics: The bank provides international money transfer services according to the purpose of the transferor at the branches and service units of the Government Savings Bank that offer this service.

    Fee

    1. In the case of recipients in foreign countries, the beneficiary is charged fees of 400 baht per transaction.

    2. In the case that the money transferor is the recipient of the fees charged by the foreign bank

    • Transfer in Australian Dollars (AUD), Danish Krone (DKK), Norwegian Krone (NOK), Swedish Krona (SEK), Singapore Dollars (SGD), Swiss Francs (CHF) or US Dollars (USD), to payees in the United States, a fee of 400 baht plus fees that the foreign banks will charge, another 750 baht, for a total of 1,150 baht per transaction.
    • In the case of transfers in Yen (JPY), the fee is 400 baht and plus the fee charged by the foreign bank for another 0.05 percent of the amount transferred per transaction, at a minimum of 1,600 baht, a total of 2,000 baht per transaction or more as actually charged.

    3. In the case that the money transferor is the recipient of the fees charged by the foreign bank which the bank guarantees that the money is transferred to the bank of the receiver in full (Charge Our - Full Value Transfer).

    • Fee 400 baht plus fee that foreign banks charge another 1,100 baht, a total of 1,500 baht per transaction, only in US dollars (USD) when transferring funds to recipients outside the United States.
    • Fee 400 baht plus fee that foreign banks charge 1,300 baht for a total of 1,700 baht per transaction, only in euro (EUR) and sterling (GBP).

    Note: The bank may charge additional fees if the foreign bank charges more than that which the bank collects from customers, in the case of being our Charge or - Full Value Transfer.

    The maximum amount that can be received – sent per day

    • US $10,000 or about 300,000 Baht / day / person can be transferred using MoneyGram and SpeedSend money transfer services.
    • US$ 3,000 or about 90,000 Bath/30 days/person can be transfer with RIA Money Transfer
    • US $5,000 or about 150,000 Baht / day / person can be transferred using Xpress Money's money transfer service.
    • The maximum amount depends on the requirements of each service agent in each country or according to the requirements of the country of origin or destination

    Terms of service

    • The destination recipient does not need a bank account.
    • This is a service for sending and receiving money between individuals and individuals only.
    • Exchange rates and fees will vary according to the notification in the money transfer system of each company.
    • When sending money abroad the sender will have to pay the delivery amount with the remittance fee in Baht, while the recipient will receive cash in the currency of the destination recipient country without being charged any fees (In case of transferring money Cash to Cash), or money will be transferred to the account (In the case of transferring Account Credit, which may be deducted from the fees for making money into the account, depending on the requirements of each bank in each country).

    The process of sending money

    • Fill in the details in the form "Money Transfer" with the country of destination you want to send money to and inform the amount you want to send.
    • Submit identification documents issued by government agencies that have not expired, such as passports or identification card along with supporting documents for transferring money according to the regulations of the Bank of Thailand, such as educational evidence, proof of permanent residence abroad or Work Permit (Work Permit).
    • Submit the completed payment form, with money transfer documents, to the branch staff of the Government Savings Bank with the money to send, along with the remittance fee.
    • The Government Savings Bank will make a transaction to send money in the system, with a receipt or proof of remittance.
    • Customers should check the accuracy and then sign the receipt. They should keep the receipts and reference numbers or the code to receive money.

    The process of receiving money

    • Fill in the details in the form "Receipt of money" with the reference number or the code to receive money, and the amount of money to be received.
    • Submit identification documents issued by government agencies that have not expired, such as passports or identification card.
    • The Government Savings Bank will check the accuracy of various information and issue a receipt or proof of transaction, the customers verify the authenticity and sign the receipt.
    • The Government Savings Bank makes payments to the payee without deducting any fees (In the case of receiving cash).
